Science We started recording the weather for 6 different cities in Canada for the next 14 days We will then use double bar graphs to compare the weather across Canada We learned about the different types of precipitation and how they are formed (rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain and hail Math We practiced our multiplication and division fact families ie/ 6 x 7 = 42, 42 ÷ 6 = 7 etc. We played a math game called 'Race to the Resort' to practice our division facts A basic facts multiplication sheet was sent home in to be signed We started our multiplication activities according to which set of facts we need to practice Language Arts We worked on an event map for our read aloud, Wolf Hollow, then did our own event map based on the books we are reading for book club Reminders: Special Lunch is this Thursday Please review and sign the multiplication fact sheet in the black duotang

Math We've been working on strategies for division including using base ten blocks and the 'box method' Grade 4s are doing 2 digit by 1 digit and Grade 5s are working on 3 digit by 1 digit Science We are learning about Weather.
